Intro To Melodic Style Banjo with Jens Kruger - Video

by David Bandrowski

Jens Kruger presents the basics of the Melodic Style of banjo playing on this video from the American Banjo Museum's Learning Lounge interactive touch screen. An educational exhibit focusing on different banjo styles. The melodic style of 5 string banjo playing is a style where you can play note for note fiddle melodies. In the style you almost never play 2 notes in a row on the same string. This allows you to play melodies with a legato or smoot way.
