Keith Urban Covers Sabrina Carpenter's "Espresso" on Deering Phoenix Banjo

by David Bandrowski

Country music star Keith Urban has been a long-time Deering banjo artist performing with his Deering Boston 6-string banjo. Recently he was on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon promoting his new album "High" when Jimmy was talking with Keith and complimenting him on how Keith does great versions of cover tunes. Jimmy then asked him if he could do a cover of the hit song "Espresso" by Sabrina Carpenter and surprised him with a Deering Phoenix 6-string banjo from behind his desk for Keith to play it on.

Listen to the great job Keith does and the tone of the Phoenix 6-string banjo acoustically. This 6-string sounds great acoustically but also shines when plugged in as it features two pickups, a Kavanjo humbucker pickup, and a piezo pickup. It includes a built-in volume control and a blender pot so you can dial in exactly how much gain you want from each pickup.
