Deering Live - Ryan Cavanaugh

by David Bandrowski
We had a lot of fun hanging out with Ryan Cavanaugh on this past week's Deering Live. We dug into a lot of topics and you can definitely learn a lot and be inspired from watching this episode. If you have any questions for us or Ryan, let us know if the comments below.

Our guest this week has been praised by Bela Fleck as “one of the best technical players ever” He is one of the top 3-finger style 5 string banjoists in the world, and has taken the single string technique to new heights. As a protege of jazz guitarist John McLaughlin, he is well known for his meticulous and technical playing style, incorporating anything from modern jazz to world music and everything in between.

Ryan plays a Deering Tenbrooks Legacy banjo with a Jens Kruger tone ring. Check it out here: https://www.deeringbanjos.com/collections/tenbrooks-legacy-banjos/products/tenbrooks-legacy-banjo
