The Banjo Is Rockin'...

...with Keith Urban! The country star and all round tone connoisseur, rocks a banjo in his new video for Wasted Time! And not just any banjo, but a Deering Boston 6 String Banjo. A model which has fast become the industry standard for 6 string banjo having appeared in the hands of Taylor Swift, Eric Church, Kasey Musgraves and Jason Mraz, to name a few.

Banjo Solo?

The video sees Urban, surrounded by friends, singing and dancing to the sound of memories and great times. Deering banjo firmly in hand, Urban picks his way beautifully through one of the catchier country anthems in recent memory, even ripping out a quick but blistering solo in the process.

Needed That Banjo Sound

A well respected guitar player in his own right, Urban has proven countless times that he can hang with the big boys when it comes to 6 strings. Urban bought his Deering Boston 6 String banjo at Corner Music in Nashville, TN following a session in which he wasn't able to convey what he wanted to the hired banjo player. But he definitely knew how to play it, and the Boston banjo has since become a mainstay instrument for live shows and recordings. As you can see in the video, it certainly has some miles on it, which makes it that much sweeter.

What Do You Think?

Check out the video and let us know what you think in the comments below! Wasted Time is the third single from Urban's latest album, Ripcord.
