Deering Banjo Company is delighted to announce that we will be teaming up with Mumford & Sons once again on their highly anticipated Gentlemen of the Road Stopover shows this summer 2015.
As in the past, personally hand-picked Stopover locations will offer a unique and unbelievable experience to attendees, essentially turning each town into a celebration of local music, food, and the people who make it. Deering will be with them every step of the way with a selection of banjos for you to try as well as enthusiastic Deering staff members offering free lessons, tips, advice, and a welcoming smile!
Contrary to recent reports, banjo remains alive and well in the Mumford camp and Winston’s beloved Deering Eagle II banjo has been amped up for their upcoming tour with the addition of a very classy black Deering banjo head and a nickel plated Kavanjo pickup.
Mumford & Sons are no strangers to thinking way outside of the box when it comes to touring and giving back to their fans. As they so eloquently put it…

We had 8,000 campers on a levee on the banks of the Great Miami River (Troy, Ohio), and even more on one of Canada’s oldest fairgrounds (Simcoe, Ontario). We’ve played by the edge of the North Atlantic (Galway, Ireland), and on an endless expanse of dusty red clay in the heart of America (Guthrie, Oklahoma). Each town imprints its own experience onto the Stopover, and each Stopover is unique.
