Deering Banjos is thrilled to team up with Mountain Song Productions and Sixthman once again to bring you Mountain Song at Sea 2014. We’ll be heading back aboard for more of the fantastic experiences we had last year like shows with favorite artists in intimate venues and spontaneous artist jams. And who could leave out folks picking their banjo while lounging on deck as we sailed the Atlantic, as well as workshops and activities!
That’s right, the festival season never ends. We're sailing to paradise in the middle of winter with some of the world's best bluegrass, folk and acoustic artists. We’d love to see you there!!
By popular demand an extra day has been added, as well as an extra port! We’ll set sail February 3-7, 2014, from Miami to Cozumel, Mexico and then to Key West aboard the Norwegian Pearl. You’ll enjoy a luxurious ship full of all the amenities you’d expect – a pool, hot tubs, a casino and music on multiple stages!
Deering Banjos will be putting on our “Banjo Petting Zoo” on board where one gets to play and hear a wide variety of Deering banjos. Greg & Janet Deering will also be delivering a banjo workshop together, along with possible surprise Deering Artist cameos. They’ll be going over the parts of a banjo, how to adjust them to get different sounds, playing tips, and answering all the questions you can think of on banjo! If you have yours with you Greg might even give it a tune up.
The 2014 Cruise Lineup So Far:
Steep Canyon Rangers
David Grisman Folk Jazz Trio
Trampled by Turtles
Carolina Chocolate Drops
The Kruger Brothers
We are excited to see them all! It’s a special moment when a group of artists who share a passion for their music, and a community of like-minded fans gather together aboard one ship, and you’re invited to be a part of it!
You can get more information on the cruise and book your trip aboard at Mountain Song at Sea.
