Did you know that Elle King plays banjo? The incredibly talented Elle King performed in the Deering Woodroom recently, armed only with a Sierra banjo. The Ohio born songstress is emerging as a rising star and has seen great success in the last year, receiving a Grammy nod for her platinum selling track, "Ex's & Oh's", as well as several prominent performances including The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Bonaroo and SXSW.
Award winning singer/songwriter Tim Moyer has dazzled audiences all over the U.S.A. armed with powerful voice, thinking man’s lyrics, mesmerizing refrains. Having grown up in a musical family on everything from Jazz to Classical, he started his musical journey at age 7 on drums and hasn’t looked back. Mostly singing, and playing guitar and 6-String banjo these days Tim has opened for The Doobie Brothers, Edwin McCain, Duncan Sheik, Howard Jones, Dave Mason, the list goes on.

Fascinated by his father’s abandoned banjo, at age 9, Ian began pickin' in earnest. He went on to be quite an accomplished bluegrass player, winning first place in numerous competitions throughout Southern California; but ultimately, his rocker soul prevailed. In the 90’s, he purchased his first Deering Crossfire and tore up the infamous Sunset Strip playing in alternative bands while developing his “Crossfire style” of banjo playing which incorporates 3 finger, single string, and electric guitar playing techniques. Shredding with distortion and wah pedal in full effect, he currently fronts the banjo-fueled roots rock band 50 Sticks of Dynamite out of Ventura, CA.
