Deering Banjos has partnered with Mumford and Sons to create special banjos to be auctioned for charities in each location they visit on their upcoming US tour.
With a common desire to give back to communities our lives bring us in contact with, starting in 2013 Mumford & Sons and Deering Banjos have brought a unique charity campaign to the cities and towns of Mumford & Sons tour. In the next leg of this campaign we arrive at a continent dear to the banjo's heart, and the land of South Africa! Beginning Jan 29th, 2016 Mumford & Sons will be playing in Cape Town, Durban and Pretoria.

The Bluegrass Situation is roots culture redefined and does one thing particularly well: they cover good music. It is that time of year where they bring their musical finds together and put on a hell of a bash featuring several of their favorite bands at The LA Bluegrass Situation! Will you be there?
You have likely heard about the Gentlemen of the Road Stopovers, a global series of events in small cities and towns around the world. It began in 2012 when Mumford & Sons had a vision to create a music festival that celebrates local people, food, and culture, where everyone pitches in and everybody gets something back. It is in this spirit that we were inspired to create something truly special for the Stopovers in 2013 and created five one of a kind Gentlemen of the Road Banjos – one for each Stopover – signed by all four members of the band. The banjos are auctioned off with proceeds going to a charity of the bands choice that best compliments each Stopover location. This tradition has been continued for Gentlemen of The Road 2015! We were thrilled to have the UK Stopover be located in Scotland and to create the first Scottish Gentlemen of The Road Banjo for Aviemore, you can see here...
We can feel the excitement in the air as the final preparations for our 40th Anniversary Celebration & Benefit Concert aboard the Star of India Ship are completed...and boy do we have some monumental surprises in store for you!
