The Deering family, Greg, Janet, and Jamie,  are attending and will hold an on-stage discussion about their ‘40 Years of Making Banjos’. Throughout the day Greg Deering will be on hand to personally set up and care for your banjos. Jens Kruger, Uwe Kruger and Joel Landsberg of the Kruger Brothers will also be around imparting playing wisdom!

Along with many amazing artists, the day will be packed with memorable jam sessions! One of the UK’s most respected banjo players Joe Mcllvenny will be kicking off and running the afternoon Jamming Sessions.

Long Neck Banjo Workshop:

Travelling all the way from Dripsey, County Cork, Ireland. Pat Kelleher will be joining the celebrations. Pat will be heading a One Hour Long Neck Banjo Workshop in the afternoon. This will be a rare chance to spend an hour and catch up with one of Europe’s most respected long neck banjo players. We are looking forward to this!

Bluegrass Banjo Workshop:

We’re delighted to see Bill Forster will be with us on the day. Bill will need no introduction to most bluegrass festival going players since he is one one of the most respected UK banjo teachers.  Bill will hold a one hour intermediate to advanced bluegrass banjo workshop in the afternoon.

Live Music:

What a treat it will be listening to strings virtuoso Nick Mann playing fingerstyle tunes on his new Deering Ukulele Banjo! Nick also plays banjo and guitar to the highest standard, and has had a career in music teaching and performing with various classical, jazz, and folk bands.

JigJam-on-Stage Jim Jam

Ireland’s JigJam Traditional Irish / Bluegrass fusion band featuring ace musicians Jamie McKeogh – Tenor Banjo, Guitar and Vocals,  Daithi Melia  5-String Banjo, Guitar, Vocals and Cathal Guinan on Double Bass and Fiddle will be here to perform for us in the afternoon and also support the Kruger Brothers in the evening concert.

Kruger Brothers Kruger Brothers

To cap the evening off with style the renowned Kruger Brothers, Jens, Uwe and Joel, will be headlining the night with their mighty performance that has won so many hearts the world over! They don't make it to the UK often so this is a wonderful chance to get to see them.

There is more...

Not to leave out the icing on the cake...there will also be special Deering 40th Anniversary Deals! The Eagle Music stall at the event will offer you the opportunity to browse what will be as always the largest selection of Deering Banjos and accessories ever to be displayed for public viewing!

We look forward to sharing this day with you!
